Investors Capital Building

The Investor’s Capital Building, one of the oldest multi-story office buildings in downtown Oklahoma City, is undergoing a modernization effort led by Miller Architects and PEC Engineers to restore its prominence while ensuring long-term functionality. Decades of alterations, particularly in the 1960s, drastically changed the façade, causing extensive damage that made full restoration impractical. Instead, the new design respects the building’s history by wrapping the concrete structure in a modern façade that traces original architectural elements, such as punched openings and entry porticos, while integrating energy-efficient and resilient materials. The project not only preserves the building’s legacy but also enhances its role in the urban fabric of downtown Oklahoma City for the future.
